United 1 Labs partnering with WiNGS Mentors and Allies

At United 1 Labs, giving back to our community is an important part of our company mission. We are proud to announce we’re partnering with WiNGS Mentors & Allies for their 2017 Mentors & Allies Award Luncheon on May 1st at the Omni Hotel Dallas.

The Mentors & Allies Awards honor women, men, and companies whose leadership and commitment positively impact women. This year’s honorees include Cheryl Barnes, Ka Cotter, John Donovan, Hattie Hill and Toyota. Best selling author and CEO of The Botsford Group, Erin T. Botsford will serve as the luncheon keynote sharing her story rising from poverty to one of the top Financial Planners in the country.

WiNGS provides women the tools and resources to become strong mothers, successful in the workplace and financially secure.

They are the only asset-building program in Dallas County that provides a full menu of financial education programming at no cost, including financial training, matched savings, one-on-one financial coaching, banking products, benefit screenings and budgeting tools used to increase long-term financial stability.

A Nurse-Family Partnership providing a rigorously tested parenting education program where first-time, at-risk young mothers increase their parenting skills and the health outcomes of their children via 60+ nurse home visits beginning early in pregnancy through the baby’s second birthday.

And a Women’s Enterprise Center, helping female entrepreneurs successfully design, launch, and establish small businesses. Members have access to: training and technical assistance, mentorship, a peer community, capital, and hands-on support.

With the majority of United 1 Labs workforce being women, we are compelled to ensure they have these types of resources if needed to be successful.

Last year, 500 people attended the luncheon and more than $240,000.00 was raised for WiNGS programs.

We hope you will join us in supporting North Texas charities whether it be WiNGS or another organization you’re company is passionate about. Together, we can build a stronger community for all North Texans.
